Meet Our Team
Pastor Don Mower was born and raised in Worland, Wyoming. After graduating high school he attended Trinity Life Bible College and Master’s Commission in Albuquerque, New Mexico finishing with a degree in Pastoral Ministries and a Three Year Diploma from Master’s Commission. While in Albuquerque Pastor Don met his wife Brenda and they were married in 2000. Pastor Don and Brenda pastored a church in Rupert, Idaho before eventually moving to the Greater Seattle/Tacoma area. Pastor Don continued his education after moving to Washington State earning both a Master of Divinity and Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Faith Evangelical College and Seminary. Not content, and a glutton for punishment, Pastor Don enrolled in the Doctor of Ministry program at FECS and is finishing up his dissertation. He is ordained for ministry through the General Council of the Assemblies of God. Pastor Don and Brenda have two children, Rachel and Ezra, whom they love very much. Pastor Don’s interests include: apologetics, philosophy, theology, reading, writing, fishing, hunting, hiking, discipleship, teaching, spending time with family, food, and football.
Pastor Brenda Mower was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico into a very musically talented family. As a young lady Pastor Brenda traveled with her family’s music group singing all over the southern United States ministering to people with music. She attended Trinity Life Bible College and Master’s Commission in Albuquerque earning a degree in Pastoral Ministries and a Three-Year Diploma from Albuquerque Master’s Commission. While there she met her husband, Pastor Don Mower, and they were married in 2000. After graduating Bible College Pastor Brenda and her husband pastored in Rupert, Idaho before moving to Washington State. Pastor Brenda continued her education after moving to Washington State earning a Master of Arts in Christian Ministry in Counseling from Faith Evangelical College and Seminary in Tacoma, WA. She is an ordained minister through the General Council of the Assemblies of God. She has worked in both public and private sectors as a Director of Fine Arts where she was able to use her many talents and gifts. She and her husband have 2 children, Rachel and Ezra who are the pride and passion of her life. Pastor Brenda’s interests include music, singing, praise and worship, counseling, historical fiction, hiking, horses, spending time with family, New Mexican Chile, and walks on the beach with her husband.
Jim Schaffer is the Chairman of the Finance committee, head of security, and an integral part of the church team. After a career in law enforcement, and fifteen years as the Chief of Police for the Snoqualmie Police Department, Jim and his wife Lisa moved to the Long Beach Peninsula. Jim brings multiple decades of high-level leadership experience, managing budgets and personnel. Jim has a sincere heart for helping people and is a skilled conversationalist. You will see Jim helping out with our many events making sure people are safe, getting what they need, and are enjoying themselves in the process. Jim resides with his wife Lisa, along with their dog Roy, on the Long Beach Peninsula.
Lisa Schaffer is the Projects, Programs, and Volunteer Coordinator at Family Worship Center and she spends many hours working on our outreach programs, community events, fundraisers, and benevolence efforts. Lisa has extensive experience in program and project coordination from her career in law enforcement, from her time as being the past president of the Snoqualmie Valley Area Chamber of Commerce, and from being a small business owner. Lisa has a heart for helping people which she demonstrates by her diligent hard work with our Empty Bowls Program, Tabitha's Closet Outreach, and other various community outreaches during the year. Lisa is actively involved in the Peninsula Arts Association, and she enjoys making hand crafted jewelry and spending time with her husband, Jim and their Australian Shepherd, Roy.
